Your Questions, Answered

  • I offer a private one on one training with a range of solutions designed to meet your needs. Whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a discovery call. During this time it’s important to share what your goals are for you and your dog. We’ll talk you through the next steps, what training with me will look like and answer any questions, and decide if we’re a good match for working together.

  • You can reach me via our contact page, email or by booking a complimentary discovery call. I aim to respond quickly, but am a one woman show with young kids. Typically you can expect an email response within 1-3 business days.

  • Each dog and behavior comes with its own history. After an initial conversation, we will decide which package option is the right fit for your goals and your dog’s behavior. Package prices can range from $400-$1300.

  • I understand life can be hard and get in the way. I offer a judgement free zone and give you training that works for you and your schedule, not mine. I provide you with exercises to work on weekly with your dog. I offer an ear when you need to vent about the frustrations that can come with sharing a home with a dog, and I cheer with you when we celebrate the wins.

But don’t take just my word here are what past clients are saying:

“Erin is the fourth trainer that I've worked with this year, and I have to so say that I appreciate her approach the most. In my experience, many dog trainers are knowledgeable, but they can struggle with communication, empathy, and the business side of things. Erin was incredibly down-to-earth, professional, honest, and empathetic. In addition to emphasizing the foundational work that no other trainer seemed to prioritize, she was very kind and listened to me vent and provided "therapy sessions" as I struggled to navigate my dog's reactivity problems. I was skeptical of doing remote training at first, but I ended up finding it perfect for the stage that my dog and I were at in our training journey.”

“Last summer we adopted two large/giant breed rescue puppies, 3 months apart in age. We found Erin shortly after, and she has been such a tremendous help to us! The individualized help has been invaluable. She provides thoughtful assessments in each session and helps you and your dog achieve success where you're at "now" with lots of tips on how to build on it towards your goals. She has great advice on how to fit mini training opportunities into your day without requiring blocks of time that can be well intended but difficult to achieve. She demonstrates and observes, and helps to point out the little things you may be unintentionally teaching just because of timing, etc. Learning when to change your setting to achieve success when distractions are too high or your dog isn't "there yet" developmentally was especially helpful to me. Sometimes it's easy to expect more than what is reasonable in a given situation. Slow and steady wins the race! I especially enjoyed learning the science and psychology behind the training methods. The weekly training goal handouts are very helpful to refer back to on the steps of what you learned. Clicker training was very fun and our puppies love it! Erin has been 100 percent responsive for any questions I've had both between our sessions and since our training package was completed. She provides a wealth of information on so many topics. We love working with Erin! The puppies are always excited to see her and come home exhausted and sleep all afternoon! We highly recommend her!”

“Erin was patient, professional, and always explained the “why” behind each technique, which helped me feel confident continuing the training at home. She used positive reinforcement methods that are both effective and kind. My Molly loved her training with Erin. I highly recommend her.”

“I am so grateful for finding Erin Bessey of Bessey’s Positive Paws . Her knowledge and support has made all the difference in working through some challenges I had with my puppy. My puppy had an extreme obsession with eating dirt from the age of 2 months old. She would swallow so much dirt and grass as fast as she could and end up vomiting. Erin had some very valuable insights and with lots of hard work for the last 3 -4 months we have been able to work through this using only positive reinforcement and now she goes outside and we can enjoy playing without any issues. The transformation is absolutely amazing. I am so happy that I worked with Erin, I don’t think I would have fixed this issue without her knowledge and guidance.
If I had any questions between sessions she was accessible and very responsive which was most helpful.”
